I came home from work and was particularly thirsty. I open the refrigerator and to my wonderful surprise there is a new flavored can of sparkling water – Strawberry Mango.
I am very particular about my soda water because I love tons of fizz. I have found Schweppes to be the best. And for about two years I stuck to black cherry and plain. Until I met Joya and she helped me branch out a bit.
But the flavor of my favorite soda water isn’t the point here. The point is that little things we do for our spouse can be so meaningful. They show that they are thinking of us during a grocery run or for no particular reason at all. Little things tell us that the other cares to go out of the way to do something special – even if it seems small. And these things can add up to illustrate the big thing – LOVE.
If you haven’t done anything this week for your spouse – go buy some Strawberry Mango Schweppes (not being paid for this by the way) – or his/her favorite candy bar or gum. Or if you are on a diet – maybe a fun new protein powder! Whatever it may be – go a little out of your way and get that small something to brighten up the day for your spouse.
“Enjoy the little things in life…for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.” – Robert Brault
