Remember The Newlywed Game?

How many of you remember this game show?  If you’re from a younger generation, probably not so much.  But our generation witnessed it’s second release in the late 80’s and there was a third release in the mid 90’s after a very successful initial period from 1966-1974.

By the way, if you want to laugh – go to youtube and watch some funny moments from the old Newlywed Game.  There are some hilarious ones there.  Remember the term: “makin’ whoopee”?

Anyway, the purpose of the show is based on how well newlyweds know each other.  However, a few times Bob Eubanks opened the show with a letter from a viewer who said they have been married 10 years, ask themselves the same questions and only get 20% right.  That led to a game with “old-timers”.

So how well do you know your spouse?  Would you easily win The Newlywed Game?  Or would you miss most questions?  You can never know enough about your spouse and we would say we don’t know nearly enough about each other as well.  In fact, we have printed out some questions and will be asking them of each other tonight at dinner!  Maybe we’ll make a game of it and see how well we score on knowing some facts or desires about each other.

If you want to learn a little more about your spouse, go here and print these questions out for your date night or just to chat about them over dinner.  It may seem strange at first, but all you have to do is tell your spouse, “I want to know and learn as much as I can about you!  AND if they ever revive The Newlywed Game, I want to us to become contestants!”

Let us know how it works out – and we’ll do the same with you!
